Magnit has reported third quarter (Q3) 2014 and 9 months (9M) 2014 results for the period ended 30 September 2014.

Q3 2014Sales Performance
•    Group sales increased 34.05% year-over-year (y-o-y) to RUB 193.3 billion for Q3 2014. Like-for-like (LFL) sales increased 17.21%.
•    Convenience stores sales increased 31.9% y-o-y to RUB 147.3 billion.
•    Hypermarket stores sales increased 28.92% y-o-y to RUB 34.3 billion.
•    Magnit Family stores sales were RUB 6.4 billion.
•    Cosmetics stores sales were RUB 5.2 billion.
9M 2014 Sales Performance
•    Group sales increased 30.03% year-over-year (y-o-y) to RUB 542.2 billion for 9M 2014. LFL sales increased 13.12%.
•    Convenience stores sales increased 26.72% y-o-y to RUB 414.3 billion.
•    Hypermarket stores sales increased 31.14% y-o-y to RUB 98.3 billion.
•    Magnit Family stores sales were RUB 16.5 billion.
•    Cosmetic stores sales were RUB 13 billion.
Store Network
•    During the 9M period the retailer opened a total of 927 new stores: 691 convenience, 14 hypermarkets, 22 Magnit Family and closed 7 cosmetics stores.
•    Total group stores network increased to 9,020 units while total selling area increased 17.09% y-o-y to 3,327.00 thousand square meters (sq. m).
•    Convenience stores network increased to 7,891 units while their selling area increased 14.75% y-o-y to 2,519.71 thousand sq. m.
•    Hypermarket stores network increased to 175 units while their selling area increased 16.4% y-o-y to 521.98 thousand sq. m.
•    Magnit Family stores network increased to 68 units while their selling area increased to 78.83 thousand sq. m.
•    Cosmetics stores network increased to 886 units while their selling area increased to 206.48 thousand sq. m.
