Germany’s Rewe is putting its private label sales on Alibaba’s Tmall China portal in the hands of cross-border expert Alpenpartner, which will soon open a Rewe flagship on the B2C site having previously sold Rewe brands through NetEase Kaola. Alpenpartner’s Rewe Tmall storefront will feature key lines along with selected third party products. Around 30-40 SKUs are expected to feature in the initial assortment, but this is set to grow in future.
