To provide strength for its expansion strategy in Central Europe, Tesco is trailing its c-stores concepts at services stations in cooperation with Lukoil, the Russian based oil company. The retailer is testing its concept through its Zabka banner. It has opened two stores under ‘Zabka’ banner in Prague and plans to open about 50 stores in Czech Republic at Lukoil petrol stations. Recently, it has launched its first Zabka store at a Lukoil petrol station site.
