Having announced an initiative to open temporary high street stores earlier this week, Amazon UK will now take space at mainline rail terminals in London to showcase a rotating selection of small independent sellers in what is being described as an extension of its Treasure Truck scheme.

The first seller involved is Boodles Gin, which is offering a 40% discount on its lines. Amazon is looking to capture spend from the heavy commuter footfall at these locations and also looking to leverage the advantages a static location has versus the Treasure Truck, which often must negotiate the congested streets of London to reach shoppers.
